There are many beautiful places in the United States and each area has its own unique features. I grew up on the flat high plains of West Texas and the vast expanse of the landscape lent itself to a view where one could see the horizon many miles into the distance. When I moved to northeast Oklahoma it was a much different perspective with rolling hills, meadows, and trees covering the land. In my hikes and runs through this landscape I often came across farm houses and barns nestled among the trees and fields. The quiet beauty of old structures stood in harmony to the surrounding wooded areas. I wanted to capture this mood in some landscape ink drawings and this is just one of those.
