In my biography I mentioned how the ink drawings of Vincent van Gogh and the ink drawings and etchings of Rembrandt influenced my early work. I created a number of ink drawings during that time and 3 were made into prints. These particular pieces are "The Fishermen," "The Nun," and "The Adulterous Woman." The 3 mentioned here are more like a Rembrandt style. "The Fishermen" is a scene that brings memories of sitting in a boat and holding fishing poles with lines draped over the side. The lake's water is gently lapping up against the side of the boat, and being patient is the fisherman's motto as the boat lazily rocks back and forth. As always the fishermen are hoping for a successful catch and looking forward to grilling the beauties for dinner and telling exaggerated stories about the size of the fish and what they used to catch them.
